Hosted MCP connector: paste a URL, skip the install
Connect any MCP client that speaks HTTP straight to https://mcp.pinappai.com/mcp with an API key. Same 38 tools and 10 workflows as the npm package, no npx required.
A setup checklist walks you from first project to first apply
New workspaces now see a five-step checklist on the dashboard: create a project, open your review link, drop a pin, connect the MCP, run your first apply. Each step checks itself off as the product sees you do it, and the card retires once you finish.
Extension 0.2.1: device view in your own tab, always-on reviewing
The reviewer Chrome extension caught up with everything the review link learned: switch the real site to a phone view from the side panel, keep reviewing enabled on chosen sites so the widget is just there, and see the version right in the menu.
The MCP now explains itself: --help, real CLI commands, agent-discoverable workflows
The @pinappai/mcp package grew a proper CLI surface: --help and --version, guided install and login commands, and a clean uninstall. Agents on clients without workflow menus can now discover and run the real procedures over the protocol instead of improvising.
Review the page as a phone
On any review link, switch to Device view to preview the live site as a phone. Pick a device, rotate, and comment right there. And every pin and decision is tagged with the device it was seen on, so a mobile-only bug is never a guess.
Desktop 0.3.0: dictate your feedback, in your language
The pin composer gains native on-device dictation: press 🎤 Dictate, speak, and your words stream into the comment live. Twelve languages with a persisted selector, powered by Apple's speech engine: audio never leaves your Mac. Plus the app version in the account menu.
Desktop 0.2.0: signed for macOS, text pins, and Preview mode
The desktop app is now signed and notarized by Apple: download, open, done, no security warnings. 0.2.0 also brings text-selection pins, a new Preview mode for reviewing applied changes in-app, numbered pin markers matching the web, and more reliable voice transcription.

The reviewer Chrome extension is now public: install it from the Chrome Web Store and review any site in your own logged-in tab: behind logins, in-app flows, strict security policies. The review link stays the zero-install default for everything else.
Workspace AI instructions: your house style, applied on every change
Team workspaces can now save a custom instruction block that rides along with every apply. Write your conventions once (component library, tone, do-not-touch areas) and every AI agent applying change requests in that workspace follows them.

A new way to review: the Chrome extension brings the PinAppAI tools to the actual site you're browsing: behind logins, in-app flows, strict security policies. Sign in once, no email codes on pages, on/off per site, optional open-automatically. Coming to the Chrome Web Store. Also new: reviewers can now sign out from the widget, and review-mode navigation got sharper.
v3: the Inbox era. One Apply, review links, text pins
The whole loop is now three tabs: every pin lands in the Inbox as a numbered CR (#41), one /pinappai:apply run drains it, reviewers verdict in InReview. New since 0.4: zero-install review links (review.pinappai.com/p/your-site/, with a preview-deploy twin), text-selection pins for copy fixes, and @pinappai/mcp 0.8 (10 slash commands, 37 tools, legacy v2 command set retired).
Text-selection pins: request a change on the exact words
Select any text on the page and pin it. The change request records the exact range you selected, so 'change this sentence' arrives as the sentence itself, not a screenshot of it. Works on every review surface.
Iteration-loop architecture v2
PinAppAI's review backbone is now iteration-first: atomic rounds with frozen manifests, an event-sourced state machine, drift detection, and a new dashboard built around what's pending vs. what's been resolved. Five new MCP tools plus an opt-in admin UI.
@pinappai/mcp 0.4.0: install + login, no key copy/paste
Two commands replace the 200-character JSON install snippet. Browser sign-in mints a per-machine API key for you. CI keeps working via env var.
@pinappai/mcp 0.3.0: admin parity + iteration loop
32 tools (was 6). 10 slash commands (was 5). Apply decisions and uninstall integration without leaving your editor; marker-scoped /changes/ regen; landing-chooser pattern means commits never happen on autopilot.
In-page review polish: site-wide chip, deep-links, cold-start auto-discovery
A round of UX improvements on the in-page review overlay shipped last week: site-wide entry chip on pages without their own items, page-local counter, view-all link back to /changes/, auto-discovery so the first reviewer's first source-page visit just works, granular 403 messages, and a two-stage Remove for revoked reviewers.
In-page review: approve or reject changes on the actual page
Reviewers no longer have to scroll a long /changes/ list. They open the test deploy of any page, see the changed elements framed in red, and decide inline, with a draggable bottom panel showing BEFORE/AFTER and Approve / Reject / Request-change buttons.
