Cookie Policy

1. What we use
PinAppAI uses only strictly-necessary cookies and a small amount of browser local storage. None of these cookies track you across other sites.
| Category | Purpose | Lifetime | Domain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Keep you signed in to the admin dashboard. Issued by our authentication provider (Better Auth) at sign-in and cleared at sign-out. | Up to 30 days | app.pinappai.com |
| CSRF token | Protect form submissions in the admin dashboard against cross-site request forgery. | Per session | app.pinappai.com |
| Language preference (local storage) | Remember whether you prefer English or Turkish on the marketing site. Stored in your browser’s local storage, not sent in HTTP requests. | Until you clear it | pinappai.com |
| Widget edit token (local storage) | Used by the PinAppAI widget on customer sites so end users can edit or delete their own comments. Stored in the customer’s site’s local storage. | Until cleared | The customer’s site |
2. What we do not use
- No analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, Plausible, Fathom, or any similar product on either pinappai.com or app.pinappai.com.
- No advertising cookies. We do not run ad pixels (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, etc.).
- No cross-site tracking cookies. No third-party domains drop cookies through our pages.
3. Why we do not show a cookie banner
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) and GDPR, strictly-necessary cookies — those required to deliver a service the user has asked for — do not require prior consent. The cookies above are all strictly necessary or are local storage values that the user controls. We therefore do not display a consent banner.
If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will display a consent banner that lets you opt in or out before any non-essential cookie is set. We will update this page at the same time.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the authentication session cookie will sign you out of the admin dashboard. Blocking local storage will reset your language preference and prevent the widget from offering edit/delete on your past comments.
5. Changes
We will update this page whenever cookies in use change. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
